1958-2009
It's a sad day as people celebrate and mourn over the life of the king of pop. After collapsing at his home he was rushed to the hospital, where after an hour of resusitation efforts he died.
He was to make a comeback tour this fall in London. I was looking forward to that as I hadn't seen a good performance since his last concert, the 2001 30th Anniversary Special on TV (anybody remember that?). It's not going to be the same ever again.

Do You Think This is Racist?
http://
During the 30's, 40's, and 50's racial stereotyping was common among the entertainment industry. In the scene from the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes short "Southern Fried Rabbit" Bugs, who is trying to find fresh carrots in Georgia, dresses as a slave to get by Yosemite Sam, a guard of the Mason-Dixon Line who is still time warped in the Civil War. This scene was cut by every network who aired it (Fox, WB, and Cartoon Network) and usually hasn't been seen by the public.
I believe that yes it does stereotype but there's no problem in its intended humor. However, I can see the networks worry because either: 1.)Some sensitive black person will call in to complain about a cartoon made over 50 years ago or 2.)A parent may say that it influences bad qualities into their child (which I have to say may have some validity).
What do you think? I think the clip is funny.

My Late Night Set Up
All of the sudden I had this urge to create this blog. I hope to achieve conveing my thoughts to everyone (why would you care?. . .I don't know). Enjoy what have thoughts on and comment on what you think is right, wrong, or interesting.
My name is Jason. I've been often described my friends as a "80 year old man in a 17 (going on 18) year old's body". I love to think so here is this blog. I'll soon be going to Frostburg and this blog is only here for the summer (maybe).
